Q Is this a slab door or does it come pre-hung with a frame?
Check the variant options above — most of our doors are available as either a slab (door only) or pre-hung (with frame, hinges, and sometimes hardware). Slab doors are ideal if you’re replacing a door in an existing frame. Pre-hung is best for new openings or full frame replacements.
Q How do I know what size door I need?
Measure your rough opening (the framed hole in the wall) — width, height, and wall thickness. For slab replacements, measure your existing door. Standard Canadian interior doors are 80″ tall. Common widths: 24″, 28″, 30″, 32″, and 36″. Always measure before ordering.
Q Can I paint or stain this door?
Yes — our pre-primed doors are ready for painting right out of the box. We recommend a high-quality latex paint for interior use. Lightly sand the primer first for best adhesion. Two coats are usually ideal for a professional finish.
Q What handing do I need — left or right?
Stand on the side where the door swings toward you. If the hinges are on the left, it’s a left-hand door. If hinges are on the right, it’s right-hand. Many of our doors come in reversible handing — check the variant options. If you’re unsure, send us a photo and we’ll help.
