Bathtub Buying Questions

Freestanding vs alcove bathtubs — which is right for me?
Freestanding tubs sit on the floor as a statement piece — premium look, needs open floor space, usually 60"+ long. Alcove tubs fit against three walls in a standard bathroom — most common, efficient use of space, typically 60" × 32".
Acrylic vs cast iron — which material is better?
Acrylic is lighter, warmer to the touch, easier to install (no floor reinforcement needed), and comes in more shapes. Cast iron is heavier, holds heat longer, and has a premium feel — but requires floor reinforcement in some older homes.
What size tub do I need?
Measure your alcove or floor space carefully. Standard alcove tubs are 60" × 32". Small bathrooms can fit 54" corner or 48" alcove. Freestanding tubs range from 54" (compact) to 72" (master). Always allow 4"+ clearance around freestanding tubs.
How long does shipping take?
We ship Canada-wide in 3–5 business days from our Vaughan and Burlington warehouses. Freestanding tubs ship in reinforced crates via freight.
What's your return policy?
30-day hassle-free returns on all bathtubs. Items must be unused and in original packaging.

About Our Bathtubs

Home Care Supply stocks bathtubs in every style, size and material — freestanding statement tubs, space-efficient acrylic alcoves, heavy-duty cast iron, and corner tubs for tight spaces. Every tub ships Canada-wide in 3–5 business days.

Choosing the right bathtub

Freestanding tubs are the centrepiece of a premium primary bathroom — they need open floor space and usually pair with a floor-mount tub faucet. Alcove tubs fit between three walls in a standard bathroom layout (60" × 32" is the Canadian standard). Corner tubs maximize small bathrooms or replace dated drop-ins.

Acrylic vs cast iron

Acrylic is lighter, warmer to the touch, easier to install, and comes in the widest range of shapes. Cast iron is heavier, holds heat longer, and lasts a lifetime — but may require floor reinforcement in older homes. Verify your floor structure before ordering a cast iron tub over 400 lbs.

Canadian shipping and returns
